I like being a child

the last couple of poems I've written have been for children and a comment was made that I should treat poetry seriously and write on a deeper level.
It made me feel that I shouldn't put them on my poetry blog but then they ARE poetry, they are what I'm writing and enjoying and I LIKE BEING A CHILD

Any form of writing is individual to each person. You shouldn't change your style to please others. Writing should be for you and if others enjoy it....that's a bonus.

I agree entirely Karen. Thank goodness there are people like you in this world. I'm sure my critic was one of a small minority but as I was going through one of my 'unstable' days I felt a little put out.

Hi...I agree with kb.You have unique thoughts, and in the blogging arena you should be free to write and express yourself in your own way.I cant wait to read more in the coming months.. :)

I think some of the BEST poets are "children's" poets. Think Shel Silverstein, Judith Viorst, Dr. Seuss! Without poetry such as this, the world would be boring.

Most of the best people I know are still child-like in many ways.
