Prepare to be very interested

This week I am collecting books from primary schools for the library service which means spending the day chugging around in a white van. Do you have 'white van men' in other countries, here in the UK they are a breed apart. White van men are renown for their bad and inconsiderate driving and their strong opinions - I am training hard to be worthy of the title and today I tried to pluck up courage to perfect the WVM leer which is directed at female motorists and pedestrians whenever there is an opportunity.

Ever the weekend I did several pick up jobs for my other agency, I ws out at Fountains Abbey again and I remembered to take my camera. Unfortunately I forgot that I had it with me lol. Perhaps next time.

lesson for today: I will never be King Leer

A couple of times recently I've rented a white van. Something strange comes over you as soon as you get behind the wheel! Tailgating comes naturally and ogling at lady drivers becomes second nature!Come to think about it do that anyway! Hey ho!

I thought only the men in silly white coats who came to take you away, drove white vans. Hmmmm! Mobile librarians too!

The UK's 2.2 million man and vans are none too happy about their public image. Half of those quizzed for a Social Issues Research Centre report said it was other motorists who deliberately "cut them up". Three-quarters rate themselves as better than average drivers.:)

Ah, self rating. That's the problem, they think they are good drivers but that is just the macho recessive genes
